 Capley Marker Control Projects
Each project is tightly controlled by a project manager ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget.

Generally on bigger projects we will produce a Functional Design Specification, FDS based upon a User Requirement Specification, URS but sometimes it may be that the clients are unsure what they want.  On several occasions been faced with a broken machine, nobody quite knows how it worked, there is no documentation and it is in a foreign language.  The only software is on the broken out of date PLC.  Capley Marker is confident that even in this scenario we can establish a requirement and give the client the confidence that we know what we know exactly what to do.

A dedicated team will produce the panel design where appropriate.  From working closely with our clients to approve drawings, our panel shop can then commence the build.  Capley Marker engineers will fully test the completed control panel and obtain approval from the client before delivery to site. The software is then produced and tested in-house.  We have a selection of PLC testing facilities from hardwired lamps and switches through simulation packages such as PICs or PLC based code in the main processor.  The full system can then be tested with the panel and any other equipment and witnessed with the client prior to delivery to site.
We will then manage the installation and commissioning of the system and cover the first stages of production to ensure each process runs smoothly.  Either before or after commissioning we can provide operator and maintenance training to ensure production is supported in the correct manner.

We are now regularly implementing remote access support to provide our clients with that extra level of confidence throughout the lifetime of the system. Capley Marker’s Control team work on a diverse range or projects and we have listed below some of our typical projects to date.  Obviously we can not list everything but if your application is not on the list please contact us to discuss your requirements.

1. Implementation of new production lines.
2. Implementation of new production techniques, e.g. SPC.
3. Implementation of new recipe based production for ensuring standards and quality.
4. Refurbishment of existing machines, e.g. Presses, assembly machines, fillers, ovens, adding conveyors, and integrating robot pick and place units.
5. Adding functionality to existing systems, e.g. Barcodes or 2D/ID for routing.
6. Upgrading redundant PLC equipment, e.g. AEG120 conversion to CompactLogix, Texas to CompactLogix, Square-D to Siemens.
7. Upgrading second hand machines to Company standards, e.g. Siemens to Rockwell, Rockwell to Siemens, Modicon to Rockwell.
8. Improving speed by upgrading processors, e.g. Siemens S5 to S7, SLC to Compactlogix, PLC5-VME to ControlLogix.
9. Improving quality, e.g. Integrating vision inspection
10. Reducing energy use, e.g. Integrating new inverters
